Dog Supplies

If you haven’t visited a pet store for a while, you’ll probably be very surprised just how many products there are for sale these days.

There is a bewildering assortment of dog supplies including a huge variety of food and treats plus many different toys and collars, leads etc. However, that’s nothing compared to the dog boutique which displays the latest designs in canine fashion!

It’s very easy to get carried away or confused about what your dog really needs, but my wife and I are never stuck as to what to buy Mindy for Christmas!

The important thing to consider is what would make your pet happy. The basic essentials are of course a collar and lead, a basket or bed  and a water and food bowl.

Deciding on the type of food that your dog will regularly eat is also an important decision, for cost, convenience and health reasons. Soft food may require more use of a doggy tooth brush and affect your dog’s breath more than dry food. It’s always best to use special dog toothpaste with a finger brush or a baby’s toothbrush.

Dog bags and dog crates are also useful items when it comes to taking your pet out and about and on one of the many dog friendly holidays that are becoming more available as many establishments struggle to fill their accommodation and dog owners become more reluctant to leave their beloved pets with strangers.
